Bonsai West — School of Bonsai Classes

Category: Learning Also called: Bonsai West Class Schedule; Bonsai West School of Bonsai; Bonsai West (Littleton, MA) Last checked: 2026-10-15

What it is

Bonsai West’s classes and workshops are in-person bonsai instruction at Bonsai West Garden and Nursery, 100 Great Road, Littleton, Massachusetts. The Class Schedule page lists beginner classes, workshops, a species series, private lessons and the School of Bonsai, which its page calls “a hands-on, intensive study program” taught by Zuma Fleischmann, meeting once a month over a multi-year course. It is a learning program run by a bonsai nursery, listed here under Learning rather than Nurseries.

Who it’s for

Beginners through advanced students in New England. The Introduction to Bonsai class is for beginners: “learn the basics of the art of Bonsai,” choosing an indoor tropical or outdoor cold-hardy tree to prune, repot and take home. Workshops are for people who bring their own trees and want guidance on a project.

Why it’s listed

It is a recurring, instructor-led program published on the business’s own site with class names, dates, prices, what is included and how to enroll.

Notes

  • Category is Learning: dated, priced classes with instructors. Bonsai West is also a nursery, but this card covers the class program only.
  • Sold out for the dated hands-on beginner and Mauro sessions on the check date; the card flags this rather than hiding it. Only the Black Pine installment on Nov 14 was open to email enrollment, and it assumes you bring your own black pine.
  • This card cites only Bonsai West’s own pages; no third-party ticketing is cited.
  • Geography: second Massachusetts listing (Bonsai Outlet in Bellingham is the first). Not in VA, AL, IL, WA, ID, OH, NJ, OK or DE.
  • Listing image: the 360×55 header logo is under 100 px on the short side, so the card uses the site’s og:image (hoveyda-elm-grove_9-1024x669.png, a photo of an elm grove bonsai), 1024×669, saved as bonsai-west-school-of-bonsai-classes.png.
  • Not affiliated with Bonsai Plaza. No registration, contact or purchase was made.
