What it is

Dandy Farmer is a first-party bonsai retail shop / design studio based in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, NY, with an official Shopify storefront at dandyfarmer.com (branded The Bonsai Shop). Founded by Matthew Puntigam in 2016, About Us describes beginner-friendly indoor bonsai, hand-made vessels, workshops, and tree-care services. The catalog is tree-first: named finished bonsai SKUs with printed dollar prices and Add-to-Cart variants, plus pots and accessories. Same-site workshop mentions exist but are not this card’s category. It is not a membership club and not a botanic-garden tuition desk.

Who it’s for

US hobbyists (lower 48) who want a first-party Brooklyn shop with printed dollar prices on live bonsai and a real cart, including beginners shopping indoor-friendly species and collectors browsing numbered one-off trees. Walk-in shoppers can use the published Fort Greene studio hours. People who only want Amazon-style third-party listings should look elsewhere: this is the shop’s own storefront.

Why it’s listed

This is a first-party grower-retailer / shop site. It has an official Shopify shop with on-page dollar prices and Add to Cart, tree SKUs as a primary merchandising path, a printed Brooklyn street address and hours, and a first-party lower-48 shipping policy. It is not a scraped directory card, not an Amazon storefront, and not supplies-only.

FAQ

Q: Where is Dandy Farmer, and can I visit?
A: Contact (checked 2026-10-01) prints 14 Clermont Ave #1R, Brooklyn, NY, with studio hours Tue–Thu 11:00–6:00 PM and Sat–Sun 12:00–6:00 PM. Confirm live hours before traveling.

Q: What shop prices were printed on official pages today?
A: Samples checked 2026-10-01 included Yuki Serissa from $75, Guchi from $75–$135, Cosmo Dwarf Umbrella from about $85, Hal #826 at $200, and Mugo Pine from about $115. Confirm the live SKU, because prices and stock change.

Q: Does it ship everywhere, and is this a Learning listing?
A: Shipping policy says lower 48 only (no international), with Tuesday–Thursday live-plant shipouts preferred. The card stays Nurseries because the primary citeable identity is the first-party tree shop. Same-brand workshops do not reclassify it as Learning.
