Who it’s for

Bonsai beginners and growers in the Louisville metro who want to buy a tree from a local specialist, pick it up in person, and take a hands-on class on the same material.

Why it’s listed

It is a first-party bonsai specialist with its own shop, a working Add to Cart, posted tree prices and a printed street address. Checked on 2026-10-29:

• Trees in the shop (all marked in stock): dwarf mulberry $175; Japanese hornbeam $150; Japanese black pine $250; boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) $550. The Trees page says bonsai and pre-bonsai “in various stages of development” start at $85.
• Supplies: the site’s Materials menu lists soils, wire, containers, tools, fertilizers and beneficials.
• Classes (Classes page): all are beginner courses and include a tree and supplies. Tier 1 $150 (small pre-bonsai, about 1.5 hours); Tier 2 $200 (about 2 hours); Tier 3 $250 (older pre-bonsai, about 2.5–3 hours). Groups of 4–8 are $125 each. A $40 consult with a garden tour is offered if you already have a tree. Tier 1–3 gift certificates are sold in the shop at $95, $135 and $185.
• Services: wiring, styling, repotting, pest and disease control, short- and long-term boarding, consignment, and tree evaluation and critique.
• Visiting: the home page says the nursery “is currently only open for new and existing students for classes and consultations.” To buy material for pickup, you order through the shop and the nursery contacts you to set a time.

Notes

• Finn flags: the home page says shop orders are for pickup, but some product pages (hornbeam, boxwood) show “Available for shipping: Yes.” Confirm with the nursery before you count on shipping. The site footer reads © 2023, and no public opening hours are printed. The hornbeam’s product URL slug says korean-hornbeam but the product is titled Japanese Hornbeam. The shop’s gift certificate prices ($95 / $135 / $185) are lower than the Classes page tier prices ($150 / $200 / $250); ask which applies. The Contact page says all sales are final.
• Related listing: the Greater Louisville Bonsai Society (already on Bonsai Plaza under Clubs) is a separate organization.
• Listing image: the tree illustration from the nursery’s home page (tnb1_edited.jpg), saved as twisted-nature-bonsai-logo.png. The site has no separate text wordmark file.
• Not affiliated with Bonsai Plaza. No order, form or contact was made.
