Wigert's Bonsai — North Fort Myers, FL nurseries

What it is

Wigert’s Bonsai is a full-service specialty bonsai nursery on an 8-acre property in North Fort Myers, Florida. The official About Us page: Erik Wigert started the nursery in 2003 on Pine Island, Florida, after bonsai began as a hobby and grew into a business; the nursery later moved to its current North Fort Myers site. Home and About copy: huge selection of pre-bonsai and finished bonsai trees, bonsai pots, tools, and supplies; visitors can stroll the bonsai garden and shop in person, or the nursery ships within the United States (About: certified to ship bonsai nationwide). About Us: home to a large bonsai collection with over 150 trees in two display areas; also one of the country’s largest full-service bonsai nurseries and a major wholesale producer of tropical pre-bonsai (trade-only wholesale terms on the Wholesale page). Official shop categories include Pre-Bonsai Trees, One of a Kind Bonsai / Pre-Bonsai, ceramic and high-quality pots, mica and plastic training pots, soil & fertilizer, tools & supplies, and optional paid educational videos — retail nursery identity first. It is not a membership club and not a museum tuition class series.

Who it’s for

Walk-in shoppers in the Fort Myers / Southwest Florida area and USA online buyers who want tropical and cold-hardy pre-bonsai, finished/one-of-a-kind trees, ceramic pots, soil mixes, wire, tools, and related merchandise from a first-party specialty nursery; trade buyers who meet the printed wholesale minima (pre-bonsai and plastic pots only). Home page: stroll the garden, shop at the nursery, or ship to your home. This listing treats Wigert’s as a Nurseries entry (trees/pots/tools with shop prices). Optional online educational videos and free YouTube tips are nursery content, not a separate Learning listing.

Q: What shop prices were printed on official product pages today? A: Samples checked 2026-09-16 include small starters $8.00–$20.00; Shimpaku / Brazilian Rain Tree / Chinese Elm / Bald Cypress pre-bonsai around $35.00 where listed; Water Jasmine $25.00; glazed pots about $7.00–$32.00 by size; Triple Red Line akadama 14 L $40.00; Gun Poh akadama 14 L $32.00; Premium Mix soil $15.00 (1 gal) / $75.00 (5 gal); lime sulfur 4 oz $10.00; trimming shear $30.00; premium care videos $25.00. Q: Do educational videos or wholesale make this a Learning or Clubs listing? A: No. Bonsai Plaza category lock: a nursery’s optional video lessons and trade wholesale desk do not move the card into Learning or Clubs. Learning needs a curriculum/schedule-first class page as the primary identity (see Chicago Botanic Garden bonsai adult classes). Wigert’s remains Nurseries.
